The beginning of the end
Today unofficially marks the end of semester 1, with our exams next week. This also means that i will not see a majority of my module lecturers anymore. It saddens me that we had pretty uneventful farewells. It saddens me further when one of our lecturers treated us (our whole class) to a meal at McDonald's, something that is a first for me...

I shall now list out, in no paricular order, the lecturers that won't be teaching us anymore and what they have done for us.

Mrs. Maribien Z Sanchez Tan - AutoCADD

As much as i'm gonna be loving AutoCADD-less semester 2, i'm gonna miss Mrs Tan's funny English. Okok i'm kidding. She was ALOT of help to me when i was doing my AutoCADD coursework. If it wasn't for her, my house would be roofless, columnless and beamless right now. So thank you, i will do you proud on Monday. :D

Mr. Yeo Huang Kiat - Building Science

Seldom tells jokes, but whenever he tells one, i'll be the first one to laugh and the last one to stop. Perhaps it's because i laugh at almost everything :S. The one thing i hate about his lectures is that it reminds me of Secondary School, as the notes he hands out are usually full of blanks where we copy stuff in. He says it's to keep us awake, which actually does the reverse. He gives pretty good advice too, like telling me not to write my name on the exam paper as he will deduct 10 marks from me when he sees my name. (True story)

Mr. Edmund Lim - IDEAS

I would be lying if i said Mr Lim taught me stuff. IDEAS is retarded module and a total waste of time, as i have learned absolutely nothing for it. However, Mr Lim is a pretty awesome lecturer. Tells jokes and doesn't mistake me for Sean. Come to think of it, i shouldn't have slept so much in his lectures.

Ms Lim Lee Yee - Communication Skills

Makes boring English lessons fun. She has a sense of humor, but rarely uses it. Of all of the modules that have ended for me, i'm going to miss CS the most. I mean, the next language module we're taking is in Year 2, quite a long way to go. The silver lining is that i won't have to organise my thoughts for my presentations in the future. Ms Lim, hope to see you teaching us next year!

Mr Benjamin Tan - Construction Technology Semester 1.

ECT&P isn't over yet, but Mr Ben's contract with SP expires next month. Although Mr Ben only does tutorials with us, i can tell that he wants all of us to do well. I used to think he was a boring lecturer who didn't have a sense of humor. But gradually, he starting joking around. Only when he gave me an amplifier a week ago did i realize that he sincerely cares for us. He made my list of top 3 lecturers today, when he did something for us and treated us to McDonald's. No, it's not because of a free meal. It's because we had only known him for 3 months, but he already treats us like his own children.. Spare the cornyness, i'm bad at being sentimental.

Mr. Koh Soo Seng - Building Materials Application

Why are our good lecturers going one after the other? Truth be told, i'm not one who takes down notes during lectures. In fact, if you see me writing notes, you better go buy 4D. I depend the lecturer's ability to explain and and keep me awake. Mr Koh does both of them effectively. When i studied for my BMA test last term, i found that i already knew most of the stuff. I figured it was because Mr. Koh's loud, booming voice had nailed the information in my head. BMA remains the only module which i have not dozed off in. Kudos to Mr. Koh for keeping me awake! :D
